Registered Sex Offenders

According to Illinois law, sex offenders residing within the corporate limits of the City of Ottawa are mandated to register with the Ottawa Police Department.  Much of the information including pictures of the registered sex offenders, which has been forwarded to the Illinois State Police by the Ottawa Police Department, is available online to the general public.

By clicking on the seal of the Illinois State Police below, you will be directed to their website where the state's sex offender registry may be searched for Ottawa area sex offenders.

The State of Illinois has now also established a registration process for child murderers and violent offenders against youth.  Subjects registered as such under this law may now also be tracked through the state website.  To view information (including offender photographs), click on the seal below and agree to the disclaimer that follows.  On the right side of the page that follows the disclaimer, click on the "Child Murderer and Violent Offender Against Youth Information" link.nbsp;
