School S.A.D.D. Program
Shepherd Middle School Students Against Doing
Drugs (S.A.D.D.) is a school based student group that focuses on the
promotion of anti-drug lifestyles. Student participation is on a voluntary
basis. S.A.D.D. works hand in hand with our school community and the City
of Ottawa to help promote our community involved messages. S.A.D.D. members
take part in regular “Adopt a Hi-way” clean up efforts in and around
Shepherd Middle School. Members also sponsor various charity drives such as
our annual drive for supplies for the PADS Shelter, clothing drives for the
homeless of our community and various other charitable organizations.
S.A.D.D. members sponsor a drug free night, referred to locally as “5th
Quarter,” which encourages students to come to the school for a night of
drug and violence free.
